Starting HN recordings next week (post if you'd like to sit in)

I'm going to designate two 40-60 minute sessions per week to begin with the HN files.

The way I see it.. is I can do this from my PC and allow senior students to sit in for a review.. that would be second semester students, and also those that have completed the book.

I won't be uploading and making the files available immediately. I'll just be creating them.. so you need to try and attend all the sessions.

At the end of every recording session, students can ask questions, offer feedback and things of that nature. I'll stick around for 5-10 minutes.

The first 20 pages will be teaching students how to decipher.. thereafter, the book will move efficiently, and the assumption is that anyone listening to the file (self-paced students and senior students for example).. will have prepared and engaged with the book on their own first.. and are simply listening to the file for review and to understand the content.

The files are not to be used for preparation and this point will be highlighted repeatedly throughout the recordings.

I explained this in the recent Wednesday session.. so when that file is available, you can listen to it to find out more about this project and the goals behind it.

As for the timings, I'm aiming for twice a week at the following times:

Tuesday evenings: 8.00 PM Eastern
Thursday evenings: 8.00 PM Eastern

If you'd like to sit in on the recording sessions (which is better for me also as I can speak better with an actual audience), then post in this thread.

This will be starting from the coming Tuesday, i.e. January 31.

I plan on making these files very good. the absolute best I'm capable of producing, insha Allah. After around 20 pages, I'll look into creating transcripts for the audio files if it makes sense to do this.

P.S. Occassionally, I'll use some of the Saturday and Sunday morning HN sessions to move the project forward also but primarily most of the recordings will happen outside class hours, i.e. the 2 timings mentioned above.
