Default Rule no 10a in naaqis maadhi passive

    Assalam alaykum,

I've watched the first two naaqis videos quite a number of times and they've been very clear so far. However, just rewatching the mudhari' video now and I noticed a point of ?confusion and that's with regard to rule no 10a which states:

For a laam position waw or yaa, then after dammah or kasrah respectively make it saakin and after fatha change it to an alif based on the qaala rule.

Now looking at the passive forms of naaqis maadhi which are: دُعِيَ رُمِيَ رُضِيَ, including رَضِيَ, I can't see any reason why the rule shouldn't apply here thereby changing the yaas to saakin which will also affect some other parts of the table.

Is it that something was assumed in the rule number 10 and not mentioned (eg should it be fourth position waw or yaa) or I'm just confused somewhere.

I'll be glad to get a clarification on this soonest.

fatha on ya is not heavy... like when lan comes on yad'oo and yarmee.. the endings are with fatha, right?

So basically.. the (a) part of rule 10 is speaking about default mudhari and it's the dhamma on the waw and yaaa which is what is triggering the rule.

Had the laam position of madhi been with dhamma, it would become saakin too.. but since it's a fatha, that is why nothing is happening.

Thanks for the clarification, I couldn't defend the rule anywhere without this. So essentially there's a silent assumption in rule no. 10 i.e. for a laam position waw or yaa (which is madhmoomah).

Yes. Doesn't need to be stated.
